Today began the end of the year festivities at SRV (A's school). And of course, it is more than the end of the year for A and us, it is the end of her stay there. And, despite the bittersweet nature of it all, we have really been looking forward to these days.
Today was a Chorus Concert -- absolutely delightful and sweet. What a great school, where these kids all so fervently get into singing with gusto and glee. And for Laura and I, it was so nice to see the various friends/Teachers/Community members that have become part of the fabric of our lives.
Tomorrow, A graduates and then, on Friday, it's "Bead Ceremony", the sweetest year-end ritual where each student is honored with a bead specially selected for them by their teacher and the teacher shares with everyone a few-word phrase which captures that student and their year in school.
We have been so looking forward to these days.

Are you going to record the nice comments. We all want to hear.
If I can without being slaughtered.
